The name Westchester Heritage Builders reflects how we work, not just what we build. To us, heritage means carrying forward generations of craftsmanship, integrity, and care — values we bring to every project, from ground-up custom homes to the restoration of century-old properties.

As a family-owned company led by two brothers, we offer a level of personal service that is increasingly rare. The owners you meet at the start of your project are the same people you'll see on site each day, overseeing the details, communicating with you directly, and making sure your home is built the way you want it built. We take pride not only in the homes we build, but in the relationships we build along the way — many of which continue long after the project is complete.

We work with a small, trusted group of subcontractors rather than a rotating roster of vendors, helping us maintain consistent quality from project to project. Just as important, our crews know one another, have worked together before, and understand how to collaborate as a team. That familiarity creates a smoother process on site and a shared commitment to delivering the highest-quality work for every client.

Whole-building renovation

New York City Renovation

Brooklyn, NY · Full-building renovation

One of our longest and most complex projects was the complete renovation of a 200,000-square-foot, partially occupied residential building in Brooklyn, New York. The work required careful coordination around residents while we renovated occupied and vacant apartments, upgraded the building's electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems, and expanded elevator service to two additional floors. The project also included removing obsolete elevator shafts and boiler flues to create additional usable space, building new lobby and amenity areas, replacing every window, and completing extensive repairs to the building's facade.

Whole-home renovation

Country Estate, Yorktown NY

Yorktown, NY · 35-acre farmhouse restoration

A complete gut renovation transformed this classic Westchester County farmhouse, set on 35 acres of pristine farmland, into a more modern and functional home while preserving its original character. The interior was structurally reworked to remove several load-bearing walls and create an open floor plan, while the exterior retained the charm of the original farmhouse. To create a seamless connection between the living space and a new pool area, we addressed the sloped rear yard with a substantial retaining wall, allowing us to level the site and build an expansive pool deck designed with future outdoor kitchen space in mind.

Whole-home renovation

Quaint Ski House, Stratton Mountain Vermont

Stratton Mountain, VT · Gut renovation, 3 bed / 2.5 bath

When our client had the opportunity to purchase a home near their favorite Vermont ski area, they were concerned about its as-is condition and structural integrity. Before the purchase, Westchester Heritage Builders evaluated the property alongside our structural engineer and determined that the issues could be addressed without making the project cost-prohibitive. The client moved forward, and within six months we completed a full gut renovation, reworking the compact floor plan to maximize space for entertaining and create a comfortable three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath weekend retreat.

Custom build

Modern New Construction

Stratton, VT · Ground-up custom home

Another Stratton, Vermont project began with a vacant parcel of land and a client's vision for a sleek, modern mountain home — including a flat roof. Working with our structural engineer, we designed the roof to withstand substantial snow loads while creating an open-concept home with a distinctly contemporary feel. Ten-foot floor-to-ceiling windows, oversized sliding doors to the outdoor living areas, and a freestanding steel-and-glass staircase give the home a dramatic modern aesthetic, balanced by the practical essentials of a ski retreat: generous equipment storage, a spacious mudroom, and a Jacuzzi just off the living area for the perfect après-ski soak.
